I really enjoy the peaceful entrance into this studio and not having to go through a large public gym or area in order to gain access. Though we practice in a group, it is a very subjective experience for me and this is due to Catherine and the wonderful yoga creation studio energy...

I noticed a difference from previous teachers and was immediately hooked. I now actually know where my bandhas are and can feel them. How many times I`ve been told to grip my them before and just tensed my abs only to now realise that is exactly what you don`t do.

To conclude I`m well and truly hooked on Ashtanga and blame Catherine completely for it. But such a great teacher who I`m sure will hook many more along the way as she has me...

Have developed pretty steadily, although I still have a desk-driver’s hips and shoulders (‘opening’ slowly), and the famous jump-throughs and jump-backs are eluding me as yet. On the other hand I can now do things I once thought impossible when I saw pictures of them (e.g. headstand, janu sirsasana B). Practising every weekday helps too...

I feel a hell of a lot better both mentally and physically than I did before I started! It’s easy to focus on the physical side, but I think just doing nothing but focusing on breathing and moving for 1.5 hours a day has helped me a lot mentally, without me consciously aiming at that...
